As part of the 75th Anniversary celebrations of the ESIC Scheme, a special AYUSH & Yoga Medical Camp was organized on 03.03.2026 at S. Thangapazham Medical College of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences, Tirunelveli, in collaboration with ESIC Hospital Tirunelveli and ESIC Sub Regional Office.
The program was presided over by Principal Dr. Rathina Prakash, and coordinated by Special Administrative Officer Dr. Bharathi.
👨⚕️ AYUSH Doctors including Dr. Varalakshmi, Dr. Ranjith, Dr. Ilakkiya, Dr. Sri Hari Vishnu, Dr. Guru Gokul, and Dr. Jeba Steni, along with nurses, actively participated in the camp.
🧘♀️ The session highlighted:
* Benefits of Yoga in daily life
* Natural ways to manage lifestyle diseases
* Awareness about ESIC welfare schemes and benefits
Over 350 students, faculty members, and staff received:
✔ Medical consultation
✔ Blood tests
✔ Free medicines
The camp served as an important step towards spreading health awareness and preventive healthcare in the community.
